On July 14, supporters of Angela Antoine were in court for her first hearing since her wrongful imprisonment nearly a month earlier. Prior to her hearing, her medical care had been improving.
Since we first reported on the case of Angela Antoine two days ago, she has been moved to a new facility in the middle of the night. Despite Angela's multiple life threatening illnesses, she has not yet received proper treatment. Jail officials have attempted to conceal her location and she has not had access to her commissary in order to buy phone time. The details of why she may have been railroaded have started to come to light.
Angela Antoine has many things going for her. She has a new husband of two months, Danny Antoine. She has an accounting degree and is working towards her second degree in Political Science. She works with her faith community in Virginia and with local and national legislators to build re-entry programs for former prisoners. She has received awards from the City of Hampton Virginia and by all appearances works tirelessly to help others move forward in a positive direction with their lives.
